About

CABAL is a 20-something IT worker who lives on the internet, where he wastes his free time with things like videogames, movies, and comics. He likes to think of himself as creative, but none of his projects make it far, many never got past concept. This corner of the web is where he displays these unfinished works and speaks his mind about whatever topic happens to be in there at the time.

Resurrecting the Dead

Monday 29 March 2010 at 1:21 pm Back in college I used to have a message board, Illuminatus (or at least that was its final name, it had a long string of "growing" pains). In early 2009, I "shutdown" the board due to lack of traffic, really I just told everyone that most the posters had moved on to other places and told everyone to join a board many of the original members had moved to. Well, recently, a member I hadn't seen in a long time posted on Illuminatus, and since then some of the old regulars have popped by. Well, being a bit nostalgic for the old community, I've decided to revive the board. We are trying to have a more focused direction than in the past, but we have a long way to go.

So Long Pressure Blind

Tuesday 23 March 2010 at 4:38 pm Well, I'm sad to see it go, but Pressure Blind has broken up. I wish Jimmie Mojtio, Vato Gato, and Paul Michael the best in all their future projects. I had fun supporting the band and working on their website. Speaking of websites, I never had an formal training with web design and I never really advanced beyond the height of web design from '99 or so (This site uses an "off-the-shelf" blog system that you can get here) . Recently, I've decided I need to learn about CSS and all the other advances since I cut my teeth on the net. I've taken some of what I've learned and redesigned the Dark Light page. It doesn't look that much different from the old version, but under the hood, the code is much nicer. Oh, and there is a new introduction to boot. No additional story yet though.
